Mindy is a delightful music teacher for children. She had my son happily playing a song on the ukulele during his first lesson. She uses a unique approach of teaching by sound and sight that makes learning music fast and fun. There’s no pressure and all joy when taking music classes from Mindy.
“Mindy was amazing at my daughter’s 1st birthday party. We had a luau theme, and Mindy was so enthusiastic about it! She brought her ukelele, wore a tropical dress, and even played a song by IZ. There were quite a few older kids as well as infants and toddlers. Mindy was engaging with all of them. Her music was the highlight of the party!

“Mindy made out daughter’s 2nd birthday party just magical. Her sweet spirit and beautiful singing appeal to all ages, just the thing for our event with toddlers, friends, and grandparents. It brought tears to my eyes when I watched my usually reserved baby go to town on a solo on the glockenspiel, a special treat for the birthday child! All of the party goers, some of whom knew Mindy from Music Together, and some who did not, told us it was a really special party. I would hire her again in a heart beat and strongly recommend her to all. Mindy is fantastic! We’re looking forward to singing and dancing with her whenever we can.”

“We were so excited to have Mindy perform at our one-year-old’s birthday party! Her Music Together classes are a highlight of his week, and having Mindy come to our house was a special treat. Logistics could not have been easier — since so many of our guests have been to Music Together, the children knew just what to do when she started to play. Mindy has a gift for connecting with children through music. All the kids loved her, and the grown-ups had fun, too!”
– Jennifer Beerline (Oakland, CA)
“We have attended Mindy Dillard’s music together classes and throughly enjoyed them. She recently played a “concert” for our 2 year old’s birthday party – in our backyard. She was absolutely wonderful. She played a set list of his favorite songs with her banjo, ukulele and beautiful singing voice. She held the attention of a group of 2 year olds, which isn’t easy to do. It was interactive and fun and pleased our group of little ones and adults alike. Our son is still talking about Mindy coming to his party to sing! We highly recommend her for music lessons and birthday parties!”
– Genevieve Sanders (El Cerrito, CA)
“Mindy came to sing at my son’s third birthday party and was fabulous! The kids loved her and she brought a great vibe. She even learned some of my son’s favorite songs, which was awesome. I would happily recommend her to other parents looking for a great way to bring music and cheer to the day.”

Music Together Reviews:
“Mindy is so welcoming; she has such a positive and friendly disposition that kids and parents are immediately put at ease. I love that she brings live music in the form of her banjo to the classes, which are fun, energetic, and playful. Our sessions with Mindy are some of our favorite Music Together experiences.” –G.H.
“Her classes are fun and and she creates a safe environment to explore music and dance. I’m very grateful as my son is very shy, and Mindy was very patient and kind in allowing him to express himself accordingly to his pace, and soon enough, he was playing instruments and dancing…Her love of music and kids really shines through every class.” –G. “Mindy was a wonderful teacher for the babies class. All the babies clearly loved her–they watched her intently from start to finish–and she was fun for us grownups, too. My son loved his Saturdays with Mindy. ” –A.A.
“I truly enjoyed my experience with Mindy in the Rockridge babies class this Spring. She was connected and I saw my baby learning to develop a love for music through Mindy’s teaching. The songs were fun, and there was a great mix of content. We will be back for Fall, hopefully with Mindy! ” J.Z.
